Challenges & Achievements

Current Challenges . . .

To run a 5th Brathay 10 marathon in 10 days from 11th to 20th May 2018. I tried and failed in 2017 due to a knee cartilage problem but lets hope 2018 is my year.

I would like to be the person to have run the most official laps of Lake Windermere. This could take a few years, lets see how many I can do! And it will be great to keep raising money for the Brathay Trust along the way.

Why always 26.2 miles? It’s a stupid distance anyway!

To run an accurately measured 50k to have an officially recorded time for the distance. That said, how about a 100k race?

Run a 100 mile race to get an official time for the distance.

We now have a 6th marathon major, Tokyo . . . I’m not sure if it really appeals to me so not on my bucket list at the moment.

In November 2016 I completed the Hell of a Hill event in Bolton, consisting of 5 very hilly marathons in 5 days. I failed to complete the event in 2015 so it was great to return and complete it this time!

Lakeland 50, 50 miles across the Lake District starting at Dalemain House and finishing in Coniston, 29th July 2017. Finishing time 12 hours 38 minutes 25 seconds. Maybe I’ll have to have a go at the Lakeland 100?
