Weather
The best so far, scattered white cloud, some pleasant sun with a light breeze in our face going down the west side of the lake.
I had several trivial stories to tell today but they have been total overshadowed by my sore left calf. I can hardly believe it is the best weather today but running wise my worst. OK it isn’t my worst time this week but the increasing pain in my calf seriously concerns me especially as I still have 3 days to go. If I felt like this normally then I wouldn’t be running tomorrow, yet I have 3 more marathons to do in 3 days.
All credit to Body Rehab they have given me plenty of attention. I have had physio, ice and laser work on my calf this afternoon.
I have been desperately emotional today and this is very unlike me. I think it is the tiredness coupled with my concerns which have done me in today.
I suppose I was always going to get a day like today.
I have come a long way with some brilliant times and the finish is in sight.
What is going to happen over the next 72 hours?
I must say congratulations to Amanda today for completing her 50th marathon.
Also well done to Howard, Matt & Vanessa for coming back today from the injuries they have had over the passed couple of days.
