Did anyone else see the wonderful sunrise this morning?
In the clear deep blue sky before sun rise there was an immense wafer thin and uniform flat cloud, like an after eight mint covering half of the sky. Its underside was glowing with a colour somewhere between crimson and fuchsia pink. I was totally gutted that I hadn’t brought out my camera with me on my run so I could have captured and shared the image.
Some 30 minutes later the sun was just about the show it’s self the sky was now a much lighter blue and the cloud had turn a vivid orange and along its edge it was golden and shining. Another stunning view!
I may have had a very early, frosty start for my Sunday long run but this sunrise made up for it many times over. I felt extremely fortunate and privileged to be one of the few out and about early enough to see such a natural wonder.
On a side, I enjoyed a fairly hilly 12.15 mile run in 1 hour 43 minutes 46 seconds wearing my Camelbak filled with 2 litres of water as a training run for Anglesey Coastal Marathon in 2 weeks time. I felt a bit tired after the run but pleased with my progress since the operation on my right knee 3 weeks ago and to be suffering no pain at all whilst running!
