I thought the day was starting off well. I felt fully fuelled and physio had gone well but this feeling didn’t last very long. As soon as I started running I could feel a dull pain in the back of my left knee. I decided to run slowly and carefully for the first few miles and hoped it was ease away but sadly it stayed for the whole run. Luckily I suppose, it didn’t get any worse.

It was great the see my friend Rexy at the Swan Hotel and Sue and Paul at the top of Ice Cream Mountain.
After the run I had the usually 10 minutes in the ice bath, physio and an ice massage followed by some taping up. Hopefully all this attention will improve or at least stabilize things for tomorrow. I was hoping to complete the whole 10 days without taping but as the saying goes round here at the moment “It is, what it is.”
A slow day but still respectable, finishing time 3:56:16. 1 week down only a “Cheeky Triple” left as described to me back in 2013 by my room mate Rik or “Just a long weekend” as described by my friend Joe.
If you think all my effort is worthwhile please could you give a donation to the Brathay Trust to help them improve the lives of hundreds of disadvantaged young people from our inner cities and also to help the local school children from the Wigan borough who go to Low Bank Ground and Hinning house near Lake Coniston which is also run by the Brathay Trust on behalf of Wigan Metro.
