A lovely sunny day, I couldn’t have asked for better weather, maybe a little hot for a few of the other runners but perfect for me.
Today went how I would like a perfect 10in10 run to go, my pace was slow for the first mile or so while I loosened up and then I settled into the pace I had planned for. Half way came round in 1:52 and I focused one mile at a time to keep the pace steady so as not to let it slip. I was very pleased that I went round the whole lake feeling well in control and strong.
The only negative of the day and might cause problems later in the week is my second toe on my left foot is red and swollen. I’m definitely going to lose the nail but I hope it doesn’t get too painful over the next 7 days.
After finishing on the lawn at Brathay Hall I had to say good bye to Yuk-Lam, Abbey and Lucas, sadly that’s family gone until next weekend. Now it is time to get down to business on my own until next Friday evening when they all return. Finishing time today 3:41:27 and third place again. That’s 62 laps of the lake now completed. I think I’m going to be mentioning this every day now as every run around this lake is a new record and I’m so proud of how many laps I’ve achieved.
Time to cool my feet down and rest for hopefully more of the same tomorrow.
