I thought it was time for me to put a little plea on my blog to hopefully raise a bit of sponsorship for the Brathay Trust.
Since I got accepted to do the 10 in 10 last summer, I have been training very hard and there is now only 5 weeks to go. In the back half of 2010 I notched up 10 marathons, two of them being a double and 107.5 in one week. This year I have managed 7 more marathons & a 50km Ultra already, including 2 more doubles which I’m especially pleased with after spraining my ankle in December. I have just finished a block of training which has seen me complete 164 miles in 10 days including a Taunton marathon and a run round lake Coniston.Don’t get me wrong I’m not finding this easy I have had a lot of sore and very tired legs.I’m doing everything I can to get as fit and prepared as I can for this daunting challenge in May. There is a lot that can happen to me before and during the event and there is no guarantee I’ll finish. The closer I get to the event the more nervous and excited I’m getting about the whole thing. Please sponsor me in my attempt even if I don’t manage the full challenge. Even the training is worth a bit of sponsor money, isn’t it? Help me raise Brathay lots of money so they can continue the excellent work they do with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people. Please note all the money I raise will go straight to Brathay, the money needed to stage the challenge has been put up by the runners and the support from Body Rehab and Team Nutrition. Here is my Just Giving site link:-https://www.justgiving.com/Malc10in10/
