Will I or won’t I?
Normally I prefer a soak in a hot bath after a marathon. Somehow I can’t see that happening at Brathay. In fact I think the only choice I have is between showers at the Shackleton Lodge and a horse box with icy water in it.
I don’t fancy the idea of wearing a woolly hat, a jumper and standing up to my waist in icy water.
I really don’t know whether I will need to use this facility, I’m certainly not looking forward to it, if I do. I must admit there is a side of me thats is curious and wants to give it a go. I will keep you informed on whether I take the plunge and how often.
Today I start my laps of Lake Windermere. Maybe I will be dunking my legs in the icy water as soon as later today.
I wonder if they will let me go home at night for a soak in my own HOT bath?
