Finishing time

Weather
A bit warmer than yesterday, with light white cloud and some sun during the second half. The wind once again was in my face going south down the west side of the lake but nice and sheltered on the return.
I had more physio on my left calf before the race, including laser treatment and more taping up. Foxy gave me a couple of pain killers. All the way to the start I could feel the calf and was bracing myself for a repeat of yesterday. For the first time I had taken my Ipod Shuffle and hoped thinking about music would distract me from thinking about my calf. Anyhow the run started and I took the first couple of miles easy to find that my calf was somehow behaving itself. I continued the rest of the run dancing to tunes from Apollo 440, Marillion and some classic acid house music Great.
It was great to see family and friends both at the start and at Bowness. Also great to run with my friend John from Bowness to the Ambleside.
Today’s Highlight
The amazement that my sore calf wasn’t affecting my running
Today’s Low Point
The last mile and a half, where my calf started to get sore again. Was it the injury returning or the pain killers wearing off?
We will see tomorrow.
