Yesterday I got a letter in the post from Aly at Brathay, with it came a DVD by Martin Campbell of Cumbrialive TV. I started watching it while I had my tea. It contains short edits from each of the 10 days and interviews of us all as he caught up with us throughout the course of the event.
I couldn’t stop watching it and the memories and emotions of the event came pouring back. It was also fascinating to see the things that happened to the other runners and their comments which I was completely unaware of at the time. I was unable to tear myself from it and ended up spending the whole evening watching the complete DVD.
I would like to say a huge thank you to Martin for his brilliant coverage of the event and capturing these memories for me and the other competitors in the event.

Many of my friends commented on the clips from the website during the event & found it a fantastic way of seeing how we were all getting on. I’m sure his work has also been immensely helpful in raising the profile of the event and Brathay.
