Time to let the cat out of the bag. I’ve had a last minute opportunity to join this year’s Brathay 10 marathons in 10 ten days challenge. It runs from 13th until 22nd May 2016. This will be my fourth attempt at this crazy marathon challenge. I’m feeling fit but haven’t done any specific training nor will I have the time to do so! So this could be very interesting, it could be painful! I’m certainly excited, I wonder how I’ll cope this time?
Charlotte my wonderful physio therapist from last year’s 10in10 put the following post on Facebook once she heard about my crazy last minute entry to this year’s event. It made me laugh so I thought I would share it with anyone who cares to read my blog:-
“Malcolm Powder” is back!
Job Position open for therapist, soup provider and hot tub supervisor!
Requirements; the occasionally hot tub karaoke session, being the first one waiting at the finish line and generally not being expected to have to treat any injuries!
Desired but not necessary; being able to sit in a squat for the length of time it take Malcolm to eat 3 bowls of soup!
Please have a read of this event as it is truly amazing what these runners are doing for charity and it is a wonderful cause!
Any donation not matter how small goes a long way to helping.
“Ordinary people doing extraordinary things”
Of cause I’m doing it once again to raise money for Brathay. If you think this 4th attempt is mad and worthy enough of a donation then please follow the link below to my Just Giving page, I’ll appreciate it and so will Brathay, who with your help will be able to improve the lives of more vulnerable young people.
